How is the Booster Club Funded?

The Booster Club is funded through Booster Club memberships which includes booster passes (see website for both business and family memberships). We also raise funds through concessions, donations from individuals and businesses, homecoming events, the annual golf classic, and many other fundraising activities.

How does each activity/sport/club earn funds?

Reps: Each sport/activity starts out with a $1,000 guarantee just by having 1-2 adult representatives come to each monthly booster meeting. If you don’t have a rep, you forfeit these funds, and if reps don’t show up to meetings, they lose $100 for each meeting missed. If the rep cannot show up, they can send a substitute, so they don’t lose out.  It is ideal to have 2 representatives, usually a junior or senior parent and a freshman or sophomore parent. Monthly meetings are held in room 127 at 7PM on the second Monday of every month. We also have a $50 drawing for those in attendance just for showing up!

Grants: In the spring, you can apply for a grant to cover costs needed for your group. We have given out close to $20,000 in grants annually over the last few years. Grants are given out based on need and the level of participation of your group in booster activities and volunteerism. Grant applications are due by our April booster meeting.

Concessions: Having a group sign up for concessions helps in 2 ways. First, our community loves to have the stand open, and we can’t run it without your help! Second, this is a great way for your group to earn money! Groups that sign up to run the stand get 25% of all proceeds. That can be a significant source of income! We are now allowing students to help run concessions at all events except at varsity football games. We just require 1 adult for every 2 students working.

Events: Groups can earn more funds by participating in different events that are held throughout the year. For example, if your group donates a basket to the golf tournament, you earn up to $500 of the proceeds of that basket. Please become a part of supporting your group by supporting Boosters! ALL SPORTS/ACTIVITIES ARE WELCOME!

How can you help?

We suggest you collect emails, use Facebook, or whatever method that works for you to communicate with your parents and find representatives. We recommend that you find at least two parent reps who can attend meetings and communicate back to you as coaches and activity/club directors. You are welcome to volunteer as a coach/teacher if you prefer.

Homecoming (which includes parade, pep rally, tailgate, and fireworks), adult comedy show, booster memberships campaign, Trojan Golf Classic, and we hope to do a winter holiday event as well!
